Prior to opening his own practice, JP worked as an Associate for two prominent Family Law firms where he practised Family Law Litigation. JP also articled for a Family Law firm prior to his call to the bar. After graduating from law school, JP worked for a reputable law firm in downtown Toronto where he assisted senior counsel with complex Civil Litigation matters.
JP has successfully represented clients with matters involving a broad range of Family Law issues in various levels of court, with the majority of his matters in the Superior Court of Justice. He understands the sensitivity of Family Law matters and therefore, he approaches each client with a high level of compassion. JP ensures that his clients are provided with practical legal advice and understand the advice they are given and thus allowing them to make decisions that are best for their families. He is an empathetic listener who assists his clients to achieve effective and long-term solutions with respect to their Family Law matter. JP is known by both his peers and clients to extend the utmost professional courtesy. Whether a Family Law matter is resolved amicably or requires advocacy in court, JP will work hard for an outcome in accordance with his client’s interests.
Community Involvement
As a lawyer who is cognizant of the many barriers surrounding access to justice, JP has been an active lawyer at Luke’s Place, a non-profit organization that assists women in abusive relationships to navigate through the Family Law process.
